Jaspal declares LCC an ideal residence for Yatries

Dr. Jaspal Singh thinks Lahore Country Club (LCC) an ideal place to live for the Yatries that provides all facilities and good hospitality.

Talking about his visit Jaspal said that a group of about sixty Sikh Yatries has come from England to visit our holy places. “We have visited different places likes of Nankana Sahib, Hasan Abdaal, Panja Sahib, Lahore and it was a pleasure to see that the Pakistan government was taking good care of all our sacred places quite satisfactorily,” Jaspal added. He detailed that besides other places he visited historic places and shrines of Muslim Sufis as well. “I attended the annual celebrations of Data Sahib and was warmly welcomed by the Muslims,” he said. Jaspal continued that the Pakistani people had been very kind and loving to them but there were special feelings and warmth for the Yatries during ongoing visit. “The government officials and people of Pakistan welcomed us warmly at all places,” he added.

Commenting about LCC Jaspal said that he had stayed at LCC twice and was impressed with the facilities and hospitality offered to the Yatries. “I came here in 1999-2000 first time and this is my second visit in 2004. This is a good residential place situated in the middle of the different holy places. Earlier we had to stay in gurudawaras with families without sufficient facilities but LCC has resolved our problems,” Jaspal said.

He said that Wisakhi day on April 14 was his birthday and LCC administration celebrated the day in a quite good fashion. They arranged a cake for me and all the people at the club attended the function.

Jaspal said that during his stay in LCC, he went to his native town “Glotian” Tehsil Daska and visited the homeland of his forefathers. The people of the village were happy to see him.

He said that the people of both countries, India and Pakistan, wanted to live with peace and friendship. “We have same culture & language. If political parties of both the countries succeed to resolve bilateral issues, the people on both sides of the border can live like brothers,” Jaspal concluded.

Jaspal Singh and his family came from England to visit holy places in Pakistan and stayed at LCC, Muridke for two weeks.
